Located over the River Gange 5 km ahead from Rishikesh, Lakshman Jhoola is a suspension bridge. Situated at the height of 70 feet from the flow of the Gange, the Bridge tied and tightened in strong iron ropes, angles, sheets, etc. Lakshman Jhula is the way to connect one end to another end. Lakshman Ji built earlier this Bridge with jute rope, but later in 1939 it was rebuilt. The Bridge also offers a fantastic view of the lush green surroundings.
On the western side of this bridge is the temple of Lord Lakshmana, while on the other side, there is the temple of Shri Ram. It is believed that Shri Ram visited this beautiful place. After crossing the bridge, the road on the left leads to Badrinath and the Swargashram on the right.
